HARP
GUITARS -- 3

I am beginning the process of binding the body. On the top
I use this design to delineate the body from the auxiliary peghead.
Here the binding is taped in place -- lots of masking
tape.
The tape is removed and the binding is (mostly) level with the top.
Not done, but getting close. More to come.
At this point both of the harp guitars have binding and one (in the foreground)
has been stained.
Here I am scraping the stain off
the purfling on the back of the harp guitar. I use a very sharp
knife which has a slightly curved blade. By rocking it up or down
and using a finger on the side of the guitar as a guide, I can very accurately
control the point of the knife and the "edge" of the area being
scraped.
More of the same.
