Guitar Repair FAQs
-
Can my guitar be repaired?Probably! There are very few things which we can't fix, but it is not uncommon for an inexpensive guitars to be too expensive to repair. But we don't charge for estimates, so feel free to bring it in for us to take a look, and we'll be happy to discuss your options.
-
How much will my repair cost?Unfortunately, that one is hard to answer simply. We have a price list on our repair services page, but it is only ever a very rough estimate. Every repair is a bit different, and surprises do sometimes arise. But once we've seen your guitar, we will be able to give you a solid estimate for everything which is visible. Feel free to bring your guitar in any time we are open.

How long will my repair take?We try to get the most common simple repairs finished in a week or two. More complicated repairs will take longer, and some can take as much as a year, but those are unusual. Setups usually are between 5-10 days. Fret work is usually more like 2-3 weeks. Neck resets and major finish work will take the longest, usually. Precise turn around times depend a lot on the other work we have to finish up, of course, but we can usually give a decent estimate when you drop off the guitar.
-
How much do your guitars cost?Base price is $5,200.00. Prices go up from there depending on the options you choose. The base price gets you a guitar made of either African Mahogany or Indian Rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top, made to the best quality we are capable of building. Various options will add to the cost off course. You can see the cost of some common options on the Prices page.

How can I order a guitar? The first step is to give us a call or send us an email. We need to understand what you are after before we can put together an order form and a quote for the final price. Once we have agreed to the options for your guitar, I'll need a 25% down payment. Of that down payment, $800 will be non-refundable. The balance of payment will be due once the guitar is complete. You will have 1 week to decide if the guitar meets your expectation. If you decide to return the guitar, you'll get everything but the $800 back. Our general turn around time is 12-18 months.
