Piccolo
Our dear friend Dakota Dave Hull came in some years back, and asked Charlie if he could make a version of an old 3/4 sized guitar with a full sized but shorter scale neck which could be tuned up a fourth to A. A few experiments later, this guitar was the result. A special purpose guitar which is not going to be many people's main guitar, it has a very bright chimey tone which will cut through a mix and add a beautiful shimmer to any song. Typically, we string the guitar with a 10-46 set of strings with an unwound 3rd string. This guitar has usually been made as a cutaway and a smaller bridge, and sounds very fine with a mahogany top.
